Sydney Becker, MSW, LCSW, joins Horizon Health Care’s behavioral health team

Sydney Becker, MSW, LCSW

Horizon Health Care is pleased to welcome Sydney Becker, MSW, LCSW, as a new behavioral health provider. She’ll serve as a social worker and therapist for Horizon patients across South Dakota through telehealth appointments.

Becker received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. In 2021, she graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Walden University in Minneapolis. She’s currently working on her doctorate of philosophy in social work. Becker has two years of experience as a therapist at Siouxland Mental Health and three years of experience as behavioral health counselor.

“Human beings are built on relationships and community,” said Sydney Becker, MSW, LCSW. “Working with people on such a deeply personal level is not something I take lightly, and I’m honored for the opportunity to serve individuals in this way at Horizon.”

Becker lives in Sioux City, Iowa with her husband, 4-year-old stepdaughter, cat (George), and dog (Marley). In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and fitness activities. She is currently available by telemedicine appointments through your local Horizon Health Care clinic.
