Avoid close contact with people who are sick. The best way to avoid sickness is to socially distance – at least 6 feet – from any sick people. When you are sick, protect others by maintaining social distance from those around you.
If you feel sick, stay home from work, school, or other errands to avoid coming into contact with other people and spreading the sickness.
Cover your mouth and nose whenever you cough or sneeze. Use a tissue if possible to prevent those around you from becoming sick.
Clean your hands throughout the day. Hands collect a lot of germs from touching other things. Use soap and water to thoroughly clean your hands and scrub for at least 20 seconds or the time it takes you to hum the “Happy Birthday” song twice.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Germs can be spread easily when you touch something contaminated with germs, then proceed to touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
