About Martin Community Health Center

In November 2015, Martin Community Health Center relocated to its current location on Pugh Street, which is centrally located in Martin. Horizon has been a part of the Martin community for over ten years and currently has four providers on staff. Providers and staff at Martin Community Health Center provide patients with a broad range of health services to meet the needs of individuals and families in their community.

Martin Community Health Center accepts all insurance and offers reduced prices on office visits and all other services provided in the clinic to all individuals and families who qualify through the Sliding Fee Program.

Community Highlights

Within an hours drive of Martin, there is hiking in the beautiful scenery of the Badlands as well as several small lakes for fishing. Angostura Recreational Lake is within one and a half hours from Martin which has plenty of water area for boating, jet skiing and other activities. While you are out, make sure to stop by Evans Plunge in Hot Springs SD, which is a warm natural water swimming indoor pool, and is only one and a half hours away from Martin. Martin also has a nine-hole golf course and a small target shooting range.

For the hunting enthusiast, this area is popularly known for its pheasant, deer and antelope hunting and near Rapid City, there are trails for dirt biking and four-wheeler jumpers.  Snow skiing, snow boarding and snowshoeing is available at Terry Peak and Deer Mountain about a two and a half hour drive from Martin. A  small in-door movie theater is open on weekends, and there is a quilting store in town that does quilting classes fairly regularly.
