(ABERDEEN, SD) – Horizon is happy to welcome Connor Kirwan, PA-C, as a new medical provider at its Aberdeen location.
Prior to joining the Horizon team, Kirwan was a member of the Stevens County Ambulance Service, Emergency Medical Technician from 2018-2021.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Minnesota-Morris, in Morris, Minnesota, and master’s degrees in Basic Biomedical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. Kirwan holds certifications in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. He was a Rural Experiences for Health Professions Student Scholar.
“I chose to become a physician assistant because I wanted to provide compassionate, continuous care for patients throughout all stages of life,” Kirwan said. “

Kirwan is originally from Castlewood, South Dakota, but currently calls Aberdeen home. He and his wife, Hannah, have two children, Myles, 4, and Barrett, 18 months. When not seeing patients, he enjoys walking outdoors with his family, staying active and traveling. He was fortunate to enjoy two study abroad trips while a student to Greece and Italy where he was able to gain valuable insight into international health care settings.
