(HOWARD, SD) – Horizon is happy to welcome Bailey Roshau, MS, LPC-MH, NCC, QMHP, to Horizon’s Behavioral Health Team.
Bailey Roshau will see behavioral health patients in Aberdeen and via telehealth.
Bailey is a licensed professional counselor who will be based at Horizon’s Aberdeen clinic but will see patients throughout the organization via telehealth.
Prior to working at Horizon, Bailey worked for three years as a behavioral therapist at the South Dakota Development Center. She spent three years at Northeastern Mental Health Center as a clinical specialist and worked for eight months at Better Help Remote Therapy.
“My interest in the mental health field began after seeing a counselor myself for the first time when I was in college,” Bailey said. “The feeling of being heard and understood in a non-judgmental place was when I knew I wanted to be a counselor. I knew I wanted to help people overcome and grow from challenges and to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”
Her education experience includes a Master of Education in Student Affairs from South Dakota State University, in Brookings, South Dakota. She also has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She holds a certification from the National Board of Certified Counselors, is a Qualified Mental Health Professional and South Dakota Board Approved Supervisor.
The Roshau family, including her father Joe, mother Heidi, and younger sister Jess, call Mobridge, South Dakota, home. Bailey lives in Aberdeen with her two cats, Charlie Nelson and Monty. She is an Aberdeen Wings fan, and you can find her singing the National Anthem at games.
“I enjoy taking any opportunity I may have to share my voice and talent,” Bailey said. “I love all animals and was a frequent volunteer at the Aberdeen and Brookings Humane Societies.”
Her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas. She enjoys traveling and has visited Washington, D.C., three times and Bethany Beach, Delaware, where she swam in the ocean.
