(ELK POINT, SD) – Horizon Health Care, Inc. (Horizon) is pleased to introduce Meghan O’Connell, MD, MPH, as the newest medical provider at the Elk Point Community Health Center, Alcester Community Health Center and Yankton Community Health Center and Dental Services.
O’Connell attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics. She later went on to attend the University of Washington, graduating in 2010 with a Doctorate of Medicine degree, a Master in Public Health degree with a focus in Epidemiology, along with certificates in Indian Health Pathway and Underserved Pathway.
“I am excited to return to South Dakota and to serve my community,” said Dr. Meghan O’Connell, MD, MPH.
“I aim to provide high-quality, comprehensive, compassionate care to all patients in all stages of life.”
O’Connell, who is currently residing in Elk Point, joins a team of six current providers in Horizon’s southeast region communities of Elk Point, Alcester and Yankton. In her spare time, she enjoys running, biking, swimming, reading and traveling.
