Kristine Smith, MSW, LCSW-PIP
Horizon Health Care is pleased to welcome Kristine Smith, MSW, LCSW-PIP, as a new behavioral health provider. She’ll serve as an outpatient therapist for Horizon patients across South Dakota through telehealth appointments.
Smith received her bachelor’s degree in human services from Sinte Gleska University in Mission, SD. In 2020, she graduated with a master’s degree in social work from University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Smith has over 10 years of experience in human services and over 5 years of experience in clinical social work from working at Tiwahe Glu Kini Pi, The Huntington’s Disease Society of America and Avera@Home.
“Growing up and living in a small, rural town in South Dakota my whole life, I understand the geographical boundaries to get quality health care,” said Smith. “I look forward to working with Horizon to remove some of these boundaries to obtain quality mental health services.
Smith currently lives in Winner, SD. In her free time, she enjoys boating, gardening, raising chickens, and repurposing furniture and antiques. She is available by telemedicine appointments through your local Horizon Health Care clinic.
