Horizon Health Care (Horizon) recently announced the appointment of Kendra Newbold to the role of Chief Operations Officer. Newbold will be responsible for primary oversight of all areas of the health center operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Horizon’s services and programs in the 22 communities served by Horizon.
“I am pleased to have Kendra join Horizon’s executive leadership team,” said John Mengenhausen, CEO. “Her experience across multiple health care disciplines will serve the organization well and her leadership will help guide our ability to continue making forward progress that benefits the patients and populations we serve.”
Newbold holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Accounting and Business Administration from University of Sioux Falls. Prior to joining Horizon, Newbold was the Executive Director of Edgewood Healthcare, a long-term healthcare facility in Mitchell, SD, where she led and directed the overall operations of the facility in accordance with resident needs, government regulations, and company policies. Prior to Edgewood, she has multiple years of experience in human resources, compensation analytics and revenue management for other health care organizations.

A South Dakota native originally from Wood, SD, Newbold currently resides in Mitchell with her husband, Colter, and children, Sean, Ryker, Asher, and Keira. In her spare time, she enjoys running, personal development, and travel.
