The addition of full-time Registered Dental Hygienist Shaelyn Welch creates more availability for patients to receive high-quality care for their dental needs.

With a passion for preventative care and oral health, Shaelyn understands the important role healthy teeth play in overall wellness. As a second-generation dental hygienist, she believes in providing quality care to all patients.
“Dental hygiene preventive care is so much more than a cleaning,” she said. “Dental hygienists strive to recognize factors that could relate to your overall health, including, but not limited to heart diseases and Alzheimer’s.”
The bacteria and inflammation that can result from inflamed gums and poor dental health are linked to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes as well as memory issues.
Shaelyn learned early the importance of good dental health. Her mother spent two decades in the field and encouraged Shaelyn to pursue the same career. She is originally from Merriman, Nebraska and worked previously at the Valentine, Nebraska Dental Clinic as a hygienist. She graduated from Laramie Community College in 2024 with an associate’s degree in dental hygiene.
Shaelyn specializes in oral health and general dentistry and has certifications in local anesthesia, CPR, nitrous oxide, radiology and laser techniques.
