Family Planning Services
We are committed to keeping everyone well in all aspects of life, and an area of service that often gets overlooked in the rural communities we serve is family planning.
Taking care of your sexual and reproductive health is crucial, regardless of your age, and our team is working to make sure everyone has access to high-quality care.
Horizon Health Care’s providers are equipped to help you make informed decisions about fertility management in a way that benefits you and considers your personal goals and beliefs.
We are ready to help you with whatever you need—no matter what stage of life you are in.
When you schedule a family planning visit with a Horizon Health Care provider, you will be given the chance to outline your concerns, wants, and needs about your reproductive health.
Your provider will then give you information about all of the options available to you, depending on whether you are trying to conceive or prevent a pregnancy, and then list any major concerns they have given your risk factors and medical history.
It’s important to remember that, above all, you are in control of your family planning decisions and that our care team is there to guide you, advise you and treat you accordingly.
Specific services and treatments we provide include:
- Pregnancy tests
- Pregnancy prevention methods
- Educational materials
Exams, Screenings & Tests
Family planning and reproductive health extends past fertility consultations at Horizon Health Care.
Depending on your sexual history and health background, our providers may recommend further testing to be done to check for problems and concerns within your reproductive system.
These tests include:
- STD and STI tests
- HPV tests
- HIV/AIDS tests
- UTI and vaginal infection tests
If there is a disease, infection, or concern discovered through our testing, our providers will assist you with developing a treatment plan.
Our Horizon providers know that family planning is more than just birth control. From coordinating lab work to assessing behavioral health—all confidentially depending on your preferences—we’re here for you.
If you would like more information on our fertility services, contact your provider or call your local clinic to set up an appointment.
