(WESSINGTON SPRINGS, SD) – Horizon Health Care, Inc. (Horizon) is pleased to introduce Darcie Schmidt, CNP, FNP-BC, as the newest medical provider at Jerauld County Community Health Center. Schmidt joins providers Dr. Lance Lim, MD, Dr. Thomas Dean, MD, Meghan Torgerson, CNP, and Francoise Bansenga, FNP-BC, to provide primary care medical services at Jerauld County Community Health Center.
Schmidt attended South Dakota State University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and again in 2011 with a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing. Darcie, a Mount Vernon, SD native, is excited to provide care to the Wessington Springs Community.
“I believe that I am in a partnership with my patients to help them be in the best health they can be. We will always work together to come up with a plan of care to suit the patient’s needs and wishes,” said Darcie Schmidt, CNP, FNP-BC.
Darcie’s hobbies include camping and fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter with her husband, four children and one grandchild. In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction novels. She is currently available for appointments at Jerauld County Community Health Center.
