Work has officially begun for the addition and remodel to the Aurora County Community Health Center and Dental Clinic. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
The expansion adds 5,490 square feet to the current facility, including 6 new medical exam rooms, patient intake room, IV room, procedure room, X-ray room, and 6 dental exam rooms. An increase in space and exam rooms will transition the Aurora County Dental Clinic to be open full-time, instead of just two days per week as it is currently. This project also provides an opportunity to bring pharmacy services within the new facility.
“We are excited to finally break ground on this project,” said Wade Erickson, chief executive officer. “We appreciate your patience as it took longer than initially planned to get this started. We are looking forward to continuing to provide affordable health care to this area for many years to come and bringing expanded dental care and pharmacy services to the community.”
Horizon Health Care will remain open during their regular hours throughout the project. The medical clinic is open Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and the dental clinic is open Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
