(Martin, SD) – Horizon Health Center is pleased to welcome Chris Rosario, CNP, as a provider at Martin Community Health Center.
Chris Rosario, CNP
Rosario has more than 30 years of nursing experience most recently at Baylor Scott and White in Texas as a charge nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. She also worked for 10 months as a clinical flight nurse for Air Methods.
Rosario is originally from Greentown, Indiana. In 1987 she received her associate degree in nursing from Roanoke Chowan Community College in Ahoskie, North Carolina. She returned to school and graduated in 2019 with her bachelor’s degree as a registered nurse from Texas A&M-Central Texas in Killeen, Texas. She earned her master’s degree in 2023 from Loyola University in New Orleans. She is certified as a critical care nurse.
“I want to provide compassionate care and suggestions to my patients that are appropriate and effective,” Rosario said. “I want to build relationships with my patients, the community, and the residents.”
In her free time, Rosario enjoys photography, hiking, quilting and has traveled to various states in the United States, cruised the Rhine River and visited Malta. She has four daughters: Sydney, Alexandria, MacKenzie, and Olivia.
