May 13, 2016 | Blog

(PLANKINTON, SD) – Horizon Health Care, Inc. (Horizon) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Aurora County Dental Clinic, to be located in the same building as the current Aurora County Community Health Center.

As previously announced last fall, Horizon was named the recipient of an Expanded Services Grant, which was designated for expanding their oral health care services in Plankinton. Renovations in preparation for the expanded service have been completed at the current site and dental services will be made available in August.

The newest Horizon dental location will provide full service preventative and restorative oral health care. “We are excited for this opportunity to expand our oral health services in the Plankinton community,” said John Mengenhausen, Horizon CEO. “Dental patients will be able to utilize the same enhanced resources that are available in our medical clinic, such as the Sliding Fee program, to ensure they have access to full dental care.”

At this time, Nick Thome, DDS, and Liza Kolousek, Hygienist, from the Jerauld County Dental Clinic will be on site each week to provide oral health care to patients. Dr. Thome will be available to see patients on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Kolousek will be available to see patients on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Appointments can be made, starting immediately, by calling the Jerauld County Dental Clinic at 605-539-1381, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am – 6:00 p.m.
