Horizon put a laser focus on the acute care provided at its clinic in Huron. Following the closure of Huron’s walk-in clinic, Horizon stepped in to fill the gap by opening Horizon Health Express Care. The Express Care clinic is open from 7:30 to 5 weekdays, offering convenient relief from minor injuries and illnesses. Patients can walk in to see Horizon provider Tia Chase. It’s fast care when you need it most.
“My focus is on offering healthcare that is both accessible and deeply rooted in respect for each individual and family we serve,” Chase said.

Acute care closes the circle of a trio of healthcare services – primary, preventive and then acute care. Its role has been underestimated when preventing the deterioration of wellness.

Horizon Health Isabel periodically serves as a staging area for patients with life-threatening injuries that can be common in a farming and ranching community.
“It’s a vital necessity because we are so far from any hospital or emergency room,” local businessman Ryan Maher said.
He is convinced the existence of local healthcare has saved the lives of his friends and neighbors.
“Had it not been here, you might as well call the coroner because you’re going to die,” Maher said.
