Brady Weispfennig, DDS Joins De Smet Dental Clinic

(DE SMET, SD) – Horizon Health Care, Inc. (Horizon) is pleased to introduce Dr. Brady Weispfennig to the De Smet community. Dr. Weispfennig provided dental care at the De Smet Dental Clinic in fall 2015 during his student dental rotations and will be returning to the community to join Dr. Lamar Koistinen as an additional full-time dental provider.

“We are happy to have Dr. Weispfennig join our De Smet Dental team and increase our appointment availability,” said Michelle Scholtz, DDS, Chief Dental Officer of Horizon. “We look forward to continuing to provide quality dental care to De Smet and the surrounding communities with the addition of this talented oral health professional.”

A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Weispfennig is originally from Glenwood, MN. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army Reserve and served as Staff Sergeant until 2013. He completed his undergraduate studies at Minnesota State University – Mankato, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology.

“I am excited to be returning to the De Smet Dental Clinic and beginning my dental career with the current team,” said Dr. Weispfennig. “I grew up in a rural community and am fortunate for the opportunity to move to De Smet with my wife. We are looking forward to meeting many new faces and learning about the area.”

Dr. Weispfennig will begin seeing patients the week of July 12th and is accepting appointments immediately. He and his wife, Melissa, will reside in De Smet. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and numerous other outdoor activities, as well as spending time with his family and friends.
