The Mission Medical Clinic is located in an area with a population mix of white and Native American, although the area has a higher proportion of Native Americans than in the rest of Horizon’s service area. The population is overwhelmingly impoverished with 46% living below the poverty level. Just half of all persons in the service area are uninsured, and those who do have insurance are most likely to have Medicare or Medicaid. Mission Medical staff include three PA-C’s who are supervised by a four physician group from a medical center 48 miles away.
